July 2011

With all the fun of guided walks and training events coming up, it's easy to lose sight of the key aim of the project... to record those lovely veteran trees! So to make it easier for those of you wondering, "where should I start?" a list of priority recording sites across the whole project area has been compiled. If any of the sites listed below are near you, why not try your hand at measuring and recording some of the veteran and ancient trees? All the information and recording forms you need are available from the Downloadable Information section of this website or you can get in touch with the Veteran Trees Project Officer for more information.
